We are opening a new era of surgery – the first robot-assisted cardiac surgery performed using the Toumai robotic system
On November 26, two clinical procedures were performed at the Państwowy Instytut Medyczny MSWiA in Warsaw with the assistance of the latest multi-port Toumai robotic surgical system by MicroPort MedBot, for which Marlo Medic is the official distributor.
The operative day began with a pioneering procedure performed by Prof. Dr. Piotr Suwalski MD PhD, a distinguished cardiac surgeon and the hospital’s Director. With the successful completion of this operation, Prof. Suwalski became the first surgeon in the world to apply this robotic system in cardiac surgery, thereby opening a new chapter in the development of cardiac surgery using the cutting-edge technology.
Later in the afternoon, another successful robot-assisted procedure followed, this time in urology, performed by the renowned urologist and Dr n. med. Paweł Wisz. This achievement clearly demonstrates that the Toumai robotic system is a versatile and reliable solution that can be successfully applied across different surgical specialties, creating new opportunities for modern minimally invasive procedures.
Marlo Medic continues to support healthcare institutions by distributing state-of-the-art medical solutions and expanding access to highly sophisticated technologies across Europe.
