The first robot-assisted laparoscopic procedures in Bosnia and Herzegovina were successfully carried out on April 8, 2026, at KCUS with the support of the Toumai® Surgical Robot.

A radical prostatectomy performed by Prof. Alex Mottrie and a sigmoid colectomy by Dr. Jan Colpaert marked the beginning of a new era, complemented by live-streamed surgeries and academic exchange.

Through collaboration with KCUS and AZORG Hospital, this initiative helped bring together regional expertise and accelerate the adoption of robotic-assisted techniques.

We are pleased to support healthcare professionals in expanding access to advanced surgical technologies and improving patient care.
